Silva Bay Inn is at the south end of Gabriola Island

Silva Bay Inn is at 3415 South Road at the south end of Gabriola Island, on Silva Bay. Guests can fly directly to Silva Bay in 15 minutes with Tofino Air, a float plane service from Vancouver Airport or take a 20 minute car ferry from Nanaimo on Vancouver Island to Gabriola. It is about 14km to Silva Bay from the ferry dock on the North End of the Island and a scenic car or bike ride. For guests arriving on Gabriola as ferry foot passengers there is the Gabriola taxi service (1 250 247 0049).

Gabriola is in the Southern Gulf Islands, near Nanaimo

Gabriola is one of the southern Gulf Islands, between BC's lower mainland and Vancouver Island. Mudge and Valdes are nearby Gulf Islands. On the Vancouver Island side, Gabriola is located north of Ladysmith and slightly south of Nanaimo. The ferry terminal to Gabriola is in Nanaimo.

Getting to the Gabriola Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo

The Gabriola ferry terminal is in Nanaimo Harbour at 160 Fort Street, in downtown Nanaimo, about 10km from the Duke Point ferry terminal to Tsawwassen and about 4km from the Departure Bay ferry terminal to Horseshoe Bay. The Duke Point and Departure Bay ferry terminals both connect Nanaimo with Vancouver and the Mainland. Guests arriving in Nanaimo by bus or by float plane services Harbour Air or West Coast Air from Vancouver Harbour are in walking distance of the Gabriola ferry terminal. Guests arriving from the Naniamo (Cassidy) Airport can reach the Gabriola ferry terminal by taxi or city transit.

Gabriola Ferry Schedule
